This splice coupler installs where your Ethernet connections will need ruggedized protection due to exposure to water, dust, corrosion, harsh elements, and vibration.The unit is rated for Cat5e/Cat6 and the compatible cable jacket OD range is .216"-.276" (5.5 - 7.0mm). The Platinum Tools 740C kit comes with one  female to female coupler and two RJ45 housings
